Draw the bird's head and body in one stroke. If the shape doesn't come out right, just erase it (by drawing over it in the background color) and try again.
Draw the bird's tail feathers. Obviously you don't have to be perfect.
Draw the bird's wing. The position of the wing on the body is important. Again, if it doesn't come out right, just erase it and try again.
Draw the bird's eye and beak.
Draw the bird's legs and feet.
