Why do you password protect ebooks if they're free? Many years ago I required people to sign up for my newsletter before they could download ebooks. I no longer publish a newsletter, but I'm too lazy (or should I say too busy working on fresh content) to undo the password provisions. Besides, who knows, some day I may again publish a newsletter.
