In this video Dave Andrews talks about common laptop problems.
One of the most common laptop problems is overheating. Modern laptops do a lot more Processing than in the past and that means more heat is generated. Be sure to set your laptop on a smooth surface, not on cloth that could get caught up in the vents on the bottom of the laptop and prevent air from circulating.
Another common problem with laptops is the battery. When you purchase a new laptop you get three or four years of use out of the battery. Dave shows you how to determine if the laptop's battery is good and how to remove and replace the laptop's battery.
Another common problem with laptops is the screen. An LCD screen is fragile. Don't put pressure on the screen because that could damage the screen. If you damage a laptop's screen, for repair you can only take it to the manufacturer or a laptop repair man, and that will be very costly.
