Home-Based Work That Pays at Least $10 an Hour
By Melina Ryter
Finding home-based work that can pay you at least $10 per hour can be done if you know
where to look. But let's face it, it's hard enough sorting through all the work at home junk
that's out there on the internet without having to also sort out which ones will legitimately
pay you more than minimum wage.
$10 an hour may still not be enough in this day and age to support your entire household,
but it may be a big help if you're just looking for a part-time job or a way to have some extra
money to pay down some debt.
And the difference between an actual J-O-B and a home-based business is that you will
actually get paid for every hour you put in. Sure, a home-based business may reap you a greater
return on investment time-wise in the long run, but I know that there were times that I couldn't
wait for 6 months to a year for a home-based business to start paying off, I needed money NOW.
The other part of the equation of course, is the part where you would be working from
home, which is a very attractive scenario for many, whether you are a parent or not.
Working from home eliminates the cost of a commute, as well as the time spent on a commute
and can eliminate other costs as well such as a work wardrobe, lunches or dinners and may allow
you to get more work done in a shorter amount of time, free from distractions (if you're disciplined!).
So if you find yourself in that position at this very moment and want to find legitimate
companies that may hire you to work from home, then check out my list of 5 companies that may
help you reach your goal of finding part-time work from home.
Nexrep
Nexrep has many
different work at home opportunities for those who are not opposed to working in the area of
telephonic customer service or sales from home. Pay is usually by the minute for many of their
projects and can work out to anywhere between $10-$15 per hour.
Working Solutions
Working
Solutions also has a plethora of telephonic work at home positions available throughout
the year. They are one of the more reputable companies out there and also offer some of the
highest wages at between $8-$20+ an hour depending on the project you are able to approved
for.
AppleCare at Home
If you are not big on doing telephonic work from home, then why not take a look at working
as an AppleCare chat specialist?
Most people know how to work an Apple device these days, and even if you don't how to, training
is paid for and pretty extensive. They'll get you running with everything you need to know.
Pay averages around $11 an hour for chat care specialists.
About
If you are an expert in a certain area, chances are you can go to About.com, look at their endless lists of articles that need
to be written, and select one subject to write about. The net value that you will be paid for
that one article. $80. Not bad, right? And if you can manage to write said article in less
than 8 hours, you will get paid a cool $10 per hour for your time.
Leapforce or Lionbridge
Last but certainly not least, are these companies that will pay you to work as some form
of a search engine evaluator. This job can take many forms, but you are basically analyzing
website data. The pay averages around $15 an hour.
And that is just the tip of the Iceberg. For more information on where you can find home-based
