Drop Shipping - What Is Your Goal?

Your business plan is your path to your goal. What is your goal; to be a drop
shipper or to make money?
To be a drop shipper is probably not your real goal. Drop shipping is just a
solution to an order fulfillment problem. Your goal is really something that you
have probably already defined and you think that drop shipping is the way to
achieve that goal.
As you plan your business, you should ask yourself the question, "Why did I
choose drop shipping?" Did you choose drop shipping because you want to run a
business from home and it seems like a good thing? Or did you choose drop
shipping to satisfy a particular need for your current business?
What are you trying to do? Are you looking for a home business that will make
you money or are you trying to be a drop shipper? If you are looking to make money
you should look at all the drop shipping options and, perhaps, choose the most rewarding.
What is the most rewarding drop shipping method to make money on the internet?
The most rewarding way to make money on the internet is to follow in the
footsteps of the people who make the most money on the internet. And the people
who make the most money on the internet use the power of internet advertising to
sell products and services offered through affiliate programs.
The people who use the power of advertising to sell products and services
offered by affiliate programs make thousands and tens of thousands of dollars
per month. They do it from home, from the beach and from their boats.
Compare that to most budding drop shippers that spend hours on their auction
sites, spend months perfecting their internet stores and web sites, wait months
for their web sites to be indexed by the search engines and then barely make
break even. And they don't do it from the beach or their boats.
You should ask yourself some tough questions.
Do you want to be an eBay Power Seller because it will make you feel prestigious
or do you want to be an eBay Power seller because that means that you are making
more money than before?
If you say it is because you are making more money, then maybe it is money that
is your goal and you should be looking at how to use your time most efficiently
to make money? But, of course, if you are looking for prestige, then being an
eBay Power Seller is for you.
Do you want to find products to sell by drop shipping because you want to sell
something on the internet or do you want to sell something to make money? If you
want to make money, the answer is the same. Make money the most efficient way.
Be honest with yourself. Why do you want a home business? To make money or to
make yourself important? No one is looking. You can keep the answer to yourself.
But do be honest about it. Because that will set your goal in your business plan.
