Start Making Money Online Within Hours

If you don't have your own product to sell online, you can earn commissions by selling other company's
products on your Web site. When you join an affiliate program you are provided with links to the Web site
of the company offering the program. Sometimes they provide you with a banner to place on your Web site.
Sometimes the company provides you with a Web site.
Some companies pay you a tiny amount, between $0.01 and $0.2, just for having a visitor click-through
from your site to their site. But often you receive a commission only when someone clicks through from your
site and makes a purchase. These arrangements may be called affiliate, associate, referral, of reseller programs.
Don't let greed cloud your decision and choose an affiliate program based on the percent commission it
pays. An affiliate program can enhance your Web site, as well as make money. An affiliate program not
related to your Web sites subject area might pay more, but your visitors are much more likely to buy goods
or services that fit the content of your site. For example, you might join an affiliate program that sells
books, videos, or services related to the subject of your site.
You will find that only a tiny percentage of your visitors will click on the link or banner, and an even
smaller percentage of those will actually buy something. If you don't have much traffic at your Web site,
you can't expect many click through. Most sites use "cookies", small pieces of data that stored on a
visitor's computer by the web browser to keep track of a visitor's activities on their site.
The problem whith cookies is that they can be disabled. Some web surfers configure their browser to
automatically refuse cookies. Even if the users browser accepts cookies, if the storage area for cookies
on the visitor's computer fills up, some cookies will be discarded. Also, computer maintenance programs
"clean" a computer by deleting the cookies. In this case, the site has no way to track the visitors
purchases, so you will not receive the commission you earned.

By joining an affiliate programs you can start making money online within a few hours without spending
the time to develop a product. But the commissions paid by these programs are small, usually 5% or 10%,
not the 1000% or more profit you can receive from the sale of your own product.
